Earlier this week Microsoft announced that is has re-branded VSTS to Azure DevOps. In addition to the name change, it has also split the popular service into 5 smaller, more compartmentalized services. Each one is now available individually. The VSTS platform has been broken down into the following services:
From our perspective, the rebranding will have no impact on our integrations. Although moving forward, and for clarity, our integrations will support (and integrate with) "Azure Boards". This means that all the functionalities and features you have come to rely on will continue to be available, ensuring a seamless transition. We will be able to track work with Kanban boards, manage backlogs efficiently, utilize team dashboards for better collaboration, and generate custom reports to meet specific needs. In short, Microsoft remains committed to the partner community and is steadfast on its mission to provide extensible and open systems. This commitment is evident in their continuous efforts to enhance and expand their services, making them ideal for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) like us. By maintaining a robust and flexible platform, Microsoft ensures that we can continue to innovate and deliver high-quality solutions to our clients without any disruption.
